Electronic components distributor Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE: ARW), Centennial, Colorado, reported second-quarter sales of $8.6 billion, up 29.6% compared with the second quarter of 2020. Net income of $240.6 million was up 81.2% from the year-ago quarter.
Global sales of electronic components and solutions increased 40% to $6.6 billion for the quarter from the year-ago period.
For the first six months, Arrow reported sales of $16.9 billion, a 30.5% improvement from the same period in 2020. The company reported a profit of $445 million, up from a profit of $182.3 million last year.
