The U.S. Census Bureau on Thursday released advance indicators showing that the international trade deficit and wholesale inventories decreased in December.

Wholesale inventories for December, adjusted for seasonal variations but not for price changes, were estimated at an end-of-month level of $650.4 billion, down 1.8% from December 2019 but up 0.1% from November. The October 2020 to November 2020 percentage change was unrevised from the preliminary estimate of virtually unchanged.
