Crane Co. (NYSE: CR), Stamford, Connecticut, reported second-quarter sales of $796.4 million, a 23.6% increase compared to the second quarter of 2020. Profit soared to $138.3 million from $14.8 million in 2Q 2020.
Process flow technologies segment sales increased 29.8% to $310.7 million; aerospace and electronics segment sales increased were flat at $157.5 million; and payment and merchandising technologies sales increased 32.6% to $328.2 million.
For the first six months, Crane reported sales of $1.6 billion, up 13.3% from the same period a year ago. Profit tripled to $246.7 million from $77.6 million in 2020.
