Amazon Business is poised to more than double its U.S. product sales from this year to 2025 to top $59 billion by 2025, according to a report.
According to eMarketer, Amazon Busines will grow its U.S. product sales by 43.5% year-over-year to reach $27.6 billion this year. Seattle-based Amazon doesn’t breakout Amazon Business’ revenue and sales out in its quarterly earnings report, but did announce earlier this year that it had reached $25 billion in worldwide annualized sales last year.
In the first year of eMarketer’s forecast period, Amazon Business, which launched in 2015 after rebranding from AmazonSupply, netted $2.96 billion in U.S. sales in 2016 with sales nearly doubling the following year to $5.87 billion.
While Amazon Business continues to grow at a fast clip, it will account for just 1.7% of the overall U.S. B2B e-commerce site sales this year, according to eMarketer. As a whole, eMarketer said the total U.S. B2B e-commerce site sales will hit $1.58 trillion in 2021.
Amazon Business is ranked third on MDM’s most recent Top 40 Distributors list.
